Alyssa Salembier

Physiotherapist

MSc.PT, BSc.

"That awkward moment at physio when you've completely lost count of your reps."

Specialties: Pediatric Physiotherapy, Pelvic Health

Hi, I’m Alyssa! I grew up on an acreage around Edmonton and have always strived to live an active and outdoor lifestyle. I love learning about biology and human anatomy, so I pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Alberta.

After graduating in 2016, I continued to further my studies in other areas of interest such as human movement and exercise, which led me to start my Bachelor of Kinesiology degree. Before graduating, I was accepted into the Masters of Science in Physical Therapy program at the University of Alberta and graduated in 2021-2022.

I love that being a physiotherapist combines my interests of human anatomy and exercise with my passion of helping people. I believe that physiotherapy should be patient centered and focused on education, self-management, and exercise with some manual therapy.

Outside of the clinic, you can find me hiking and dirtbiking in the mountains, riding my horse Wizard, camping with family and friends, out on a lake, or skiing in the winter. I enjoy staying physically active and love to go boxing and kickboxing at the gym.
